At Wiley, we continue to explore new ways to partner with instructors just like you. Our goal is to develop highly effective and engaging learning and teaching materials that are designed to meet the needs of today's instructors and students. We would like to be your partner in education and have designed an agenda that is dedicated to helping you achieve your professional and teaching goals. We hope you can join us!

The Science of Happiness
Dr. Catherine Sanderson presents both surprising and not-so-surprising information on the science behind happiness. What role do money, marriage, friends, children, weather, age, and religion play in making us feel happier? Is happiness stable over time? How can happiness be increased? Professor Catherine Sanderson will describe cutting-edge research from the field of positive psychology on the factors that do (and do not) predict happiness, and provide participants with practical (and relatively easy!) ways to increase their own psychological well-being.

Speaker: Catherine Sanderson, Amherst College

Active Learning and Gen Z-Today's College Students
Are you having trouble getting students to put down their cell phones and actively engage in your classroom? Karen Huffman will share her most successful active learning techniques for today's Gen Z students, along with tips for maximizing student retention and engagement.

Speaker: Karen Huffman, Palomar College

In this teaching summit, you will have the opportunity to explore Wiley solutions that help create an interactive and engaging learning environment, support students as they build their proficiency on topics, direct students to use their study time most effectively, while also offering cost-effective options for your course materials.
